The Process
Contact us to advise us of your requirements. It would be helpful but not essential if you had some dimensioned sketches. As a minimum we would want
to know the approximate size of the structure you require.
Based on these dimensions we will advise a budget cost for your scheme.
If the budget cost is acceptable an experienced designer will be assigned to your project who will discuss the project further with you on site.
Outline drawings are prepared. Heating, electrics, and floors may also need discussion, and quotations will be put forward as required.
Upon receipt of your instruction to proceed and the payment of any deposit outlined in our quotation detailed working drawings will be prepared for
approval by you or your professional advisors.
A significant part of our work is undertaken on listed buildings and other period properties, and our expertise is regularly called upon for projects
on graded buildings. These require particularly careful consideration of the existing structure in the design of a conservatory.
We maintain regular communication with the Local Authority throughout the application stage, and often work with consultants and other architectural
heritage societies and groups on distinctive and sensitive properties.
Following approval we prepare detail fabrication drawings of all the components required for your project and enter them into production. It should
be remembered that as each scheme is unique the manufacturing period can vary. However it should normally be between four and eight weeks.
We can arrange if required for the building work to be carried out by one of our teams of professional builders.
We then carry out the erection and completion of your Blue Sky structure.
Every Blue Sky structure is individually designed, quality inspected, checked for structural integrity and every one is checked for
thermal efficiency. Every Blue Sky is revisited after 12 months to ensure our clients complete satisfaction.
